Viewers tuning in to daytime talk show ‘The View’ Wednesday morning were greeted by only two of its usual four co-hosts after host Rosie O’Donnell apparently devoured Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck hours before the show.

Barbara Walters and the noticeably satiated O’Donnell greeted viewers without explaining the absence of Behar and Hasselbeck at first. However, just minutes into the show, O’Donnell interrupted Walters and admitted to the pre-show feast.

“I have something to say that everyone needs to know,” said a choked-up O’Donnell. She then confessed to viewers her battle with overeating. “It’s a problem I’ve struggled with all my life, and this morning it got the better of me when I wolfed down Joy and Elisabeth.”

Walters then confronted the plump overeater in a heart-to-heart moment that involved a tearful O’Donnell expressing deep sorrow and vowing to get help for her and others battling similar demons.

Guest Emily Deschanel of the Fox network’s ‘Bones’ was visibly shaken after stepping over the carnage on her way to the stage. “I’ve never been more disgusted, but it could make a good [‘Bones’] episode.”
