NEW YORK--The familiar faces of Fox Network’s Sunday NFL pre-game show are well-prepared for another season of yelling at viewers before, during, and after Sunday football games. Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson and Curt Menefee have worked for the past two months to physically and mentally train for a season of excited yelling.

“We have an important job,” said Bradshaw. “If we don’t yell at our listeners as loudly as possible, they will not be prepared for a Sunday of football action.”

Menefee, the newest member of the broadcast team, steps in as host to the three more dominant personalities. “My job is to make sure those guys can be at their loudest,” said Menefee.

Fox executives suggested last season’s show lacked the in-depth volume and expert shouting NFL viewers demand. Fox required the team to spend eight weeks before the season to practice yelling and choosing the most yell-friendly words when on air. The broadcasters have been advised that words such as ‘no’ and ‘maybe’ should be replaced by the more yell-ready words such as ‘yes’ and ‘yes,’ respectively.

The pre-game show airs prior to NFL action every Sunday at 12 p.m. ET. More than ten million viewers tune into the show every week to get previews of upcoming games, know which players to watch, and make their wives leave the room.
